Mozambique is a country in southern Africa with a lengthy coastline along the Indian Ocean that is peppered with well-known beaches like Tofo and offshore marine reserves. Ibo Island, which is covered in mangroves and is part of the 250 km long archipelago of coral islands known as the Quirimbas. Further south, in the Bazaruto Archipelago, there are reefs that safeguard dugongs and other rare marine species. Mozambique is most renowned for its fresh seafood, Makondo art and craft, quiet beaches, and tropical islands.
