Situated on South Africa’s malaria-free Garden Route, Kariega Game Reserve spans across 11,500 hectares of pristine Eastern Cape wilderness and is home to the famous Big 5 as well as a multitude of African wildlife including hippo, giraffe and zebra. The reserve is also a paradise for birdlife, including resident and migrant birds.
At Kariega Game Reserve Main Lodge, the luxury, air-conditioned chalets feature a private viewing deck offering views of the valley and bush. Each room comes fitted with a lounge area, flat-screen satellite TV, fireplace and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. The private bathrooms include a bath and complimentary toiletries.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner (beverages at an additional charge) and 2 game drives a day are included. Facilities include spa and wellness centre where treatments can be arranged upon request, an outdoor pool, restaurant and bar. Activities such as river cruises, walking safaris and canoeing are also on offer.
